The Brief:

While working at GMMB in Washington, D.C., I had the opportunity to work on an air bag campaign for NHTSA. Roughly 41.6 million vehicles equipped with 56 million defective Takata air bags are under recall because these air bags can explode when deployed, causing serious injury or even death. The goal was to have people check their vehicle safety by clicking the ad that then leads them to enter their vehicle identity number to see if yours might be one of them.

The Approach:

We wanted the ads to be gloomy and give off a deadly vibe. Recalled airbags can be very deadly and it's important to get them checked if they have been recalled. We also created specially targeted social media ads.

The Impact:

It felt good to be involved in this campaign. Recalled airbags can be very deadly and it's important to get them fixed as soon as possible. These ads reached thousands of people and were one of many campaigns to be launched over the next year to make people aware of the 56 million defective Takata air bags.
